Latest NFL Logo Redesign Makes Some Pretty Bold Changes to Classic Looks (PICS)
It’s been a little while since we’ve seen a complete redesign of all 32 NFL logos. But we’ve got one for you today courtesy of an aspiring graphic designer named Mark Crosby.
Crosby recently set out to put a modern spin on just a few logos but wound getting carried away and redesigning all of them. Some of the changes are pretty major. Some are minor. And the results are definitely mixed.
Some of the major changes work really well. Crosby turned the Titans logo into the profile of an actual Titan, and it looks amazing. However, for the Patriots he changed the colors from red and navy to red and green, and it feels so wrong.
It’s the same story for the minor tweaks. Crosby added sharper points and added chartreuse accents to the Falcons logo, and it looks really good. However, he added a Liberty Bell to one of the feathers on the Eagles logo and it just looks way too busy.
Of course, Crosby also created some completely new logos. The Bengals got a new “C” logo with tiger stripes, which looks excellent. However, the Steelers got a new “P” logo, and the Cowboys got a “D” added to their star, and these just don’t work at all. The Chargers also got a new rhino, which might take some getting used to.
That said, there are a lot of really strong ideas here, and some of the ones that don’t look good one their own actually look pretty cool on the helmets.
