Floyd Mayweather Sr. Strongly Believes His Son Will Fight McGregor In An Octagon (VIDEO)
Last year, Floyd Mayweather came out of retirement to fight one last time, taking on MMA star Conor McGregor in his first professional bout. Mayweather defeated him, as everyone expected, pushing his impressive record to 50-0 before he finally hung up his gloves forever…
Or so we thought.
Over the past few weeks, Mayweather has been teasing a possible crossover into the Octagon by posting videos of himself and throwing shots at McGregor. No one truly believes he might do it, except one person.
Mayweather Sr. strongly believes his son will indeed fight in the UFC, even though he doesn’t want him to do it.
“The way I see it, I have to believe that this is where it’s going,” Mayweather Sr. told the Mayweather Boxing Channel. “The way it looks, I think so. I don’t know what the legacy is because as of now, he has enough money and he’s got enough to live until his life runs out.
“I don’t even know how to say it because there ain’t no way to say it because everything is done right now. I wouldn’t (advise him to fight in MMA). As his trainer, no, as his father, no. I want him to have all the money he’s got. The money he’s got, he’s got enough money – look here, it’s crazy money, man. He’s his own man, though, that’s one thing about him.”
