WNBA Superstar Demands Equal Pay As NBA Players; Tired of Playing Overseas For More Money (VIDEO)
We’re at a time in this country where women are no longer content with being at the mercy of powerful males. Females are standing up for themselves, and many of them are demanding they get paid the same amount as their male counterparts for doing the exact same job.
Not many of those complaints have been in athletics. The US women’s soccer team seemed to be the only ones taking a stand—at least that was until TMZ caught up with Angel McCoughtry.
The #1 overall pick in the 2009 WNBA draft was recently stopped and asked about her experience while playing in Russia and if she had any advice for LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball as they play in Lithuania. It quickly turned into a plea for equal pay as the 2009 WNBA Rookie of the Year and 4-time WNBA All-Star demanded the women get paid just the same as NBA players do, so they don’t have to go overseas to get more money.
