REPORT: 49ers LB Reuben Foster Allegedly Dragged Girlfriend
Over the weekend, Reuben Foster was arrested for the second time in less than a month, this time for a suspected domestic violence incident.
It was first reported that the San Francisco 49ers LB Foster was arrested on Sunday on charges of domestic violence, threats, and possession of an assault weapon. As more info was obtained, it turned out he allegedly dragged his girlfriend during an argument at a Los Gatos, California home on Sunday morning, according to Robert Salonga and Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News.
“Foster faced potential counts of domestic violence, making criminal threats, and possessing an assault weapon. Prosecutors must decide whether to charge Foster within 30 day. Each charge could be a misdemeanor or a felony.
Regardless of whether charges are filed, Foster faces scrutiny from the league office. Last year, the NFL suspended Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott for six games for domestic violence even though he was never arrested or charged.”
Foster was already on thin ice following his arrest for marijuana possession. Now, with this domestic violence claim, he could find himself missing a large part of the 2018 season.
