Florida Golfer Photographs Python vs. Gator Death Match on 10th Hole (PICS)
I’m not sure what kind of golfer Dr. Richard Nadler is, but it’s clear from these impromptu shots that he’s one hell of a photographer.
Last Friday, he was hitting the links in Naples, Florida, when he caught a Burmese python and an alligator in some sort of wildlife battle on the 10th hole. He caught some pretty terrific pics, which he uploaded to Facebook.
Speaking to WSAV in the area, he said of the encounter:
“They were absolutely still,” he said. “There was no grappling going on, nothing. The python’s head was in the mouth of the alligator and the alligator was just sitting there absolutely still with his eyes wide open not moving. And he had all these people around him these golf carts and people walking around taking photographs.”
Several people said that the ‘battle’ ended with the alligator dragging the snake into the water.
“Apparently there was no intervention and the next morning they were all gone and the assumption was that the alligator won and that was the end of it,” Nadler said.
He should be happy he got the shots, but he should be THRILLED that he was able to walk away from this encounter unscathed.
